Full – time Dietary Cook with weekend availability (11:30 – 7:00 pm)

Overview:
Mesun Health Services, known for providing comprehensive and compassionate care to our community, is seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook to join our team. Duties:

• Assist the Director of Food Services with complying with regulations, policies and procedures. Supervise and assist meal preparation and serving.
• Reviews menus prior to food preparation and prepares the meals.
• Works with the Dietitian/Director of Food Services as necessary and implements recommended changes as required. Performs other duties, as assigned.
• Ensures that food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Performs administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submits to the Dietitian/Director of Food Services.
• Prepare food in accordance with specific nutritional guidelines for patients
• Adhere to portion control standards while cooking and serving meals
• Serve food in designated dining areas following established protocols
• Deliver food trays or snacks directly to patient rooms
• Assist with cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• One (1) year dietary/food service experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related medical facility preferred
• Previous experience in food preparation and understanding of nutrition principles
• Strong attention to detail to ensure meals meet dietary requirements
• Ability to work the hours of 11 am to 7:30 pm with Rotating Weekends
